Wardrobe Wonder Wench

WARDROBE WONDER WENCH

I walked to the podium after the other presentations had been made to conclude the day’s series with a technical explanation of elements archaeology facilitated making better sense of. While seated at the side of the risers where the audience listened I had selected my 5 individuals to monitor to pace what I had to say. One individual was a woman in her 30s who was quite a stunner. A Dolly Parton style pretty vixen with a Coke bottle figure and neatly coiffured high hair do. Her I would watch for sure to gauge how my delivery was going.

There was an odd look on her face when I was introduces and stepped behind the podium sans notes and began. I managed to get everything covered but I closed with an invitation to make inquiries at the coffee clatch and vowed the next session would prove even more exciting. She came and got coffee to sip, but I was disappointed when she did not come up and comment or ask any questions. Instead she just stood where she had a good view looking like she had just stepped out of a high fashion magazine. I sighed and wrote her off.

At the next presentation she was apparently early because she was on row one dead center aligned with the speaker’s podium. When I took my place facing the audience she broke into this huge full face smile, leaning forward with a clearly purposeful flutter of her eyebrows. Imagine my great surprise when she put one finger on her knee and acted as though she was pushing one knee apart from the other! I kept as calm as possible as a pair of sparkling white panties came into view. This was clearly no wardrobe malfunction. I must have been on remote control for the lecture because I had to take a deep breath every time my gaze when back to her.

At the little coffee gathering a sealed envelop hit the back of my hand as I spoke with a group and impulsively I grasped it. At my first opportunity I got it open and read a card that said, “Dinner on me if you’re courageous enough”! The card said “White Eldorado”. When I walked outside, sure enough there was a 2000 white Cadillac Eldorado parked away from the other cars under a security floodlight. I walked over and she unlocked the door and invited me in.
