"Thank you," he said, "The food looks amazing."

"Thank you," Alexis said.

Alexis sat down and they ate. All the while they ate they carried on conversation about each other. Michael told her about school and his career aspirations, and about his mother and father's jobs. Michael found out Alexis had grown up in the city and had only decided to move to the suburbs to escape the daily grind. She wanted a more relaxing environment when she returned home from traveling for her job. Alexis was coy when asked about the specifics of her work, tiptoeing the question.

Not really sure what this meant, Michael nodded. They finished eating, and Alexis cleared their plates. They each ended up drinking a couple glasses of wine. Soon their conversation had grew goofy as they joked with each other. Alexis got up and grabbed Michael's hand. Guiding him from his chair out into the living room, she sat him down on the couch facing the TV. Michael smiled up at Alexis as she settled her knees on either side of his hips, straddling him.

Draping her arms around Michael's neck, Alexis brought her lips to his. They shared a closed mouth kiss.
