Stranded with Desi

I lay out two blankets on the floor and grab one and wrap it around me. We sit down on the blankets in front of the fire and warm ourselves up. We don't talk, just stare at the fire and listen to it crackle with the rain and thunder. We slowly start to warm up and I unwrap the blanket around my shoulders and pull my arms out and rest them on my bent knees and let the heat from the fire hit my chest and arms. You are still cold and hurled up under your blanket but you are starting to warm up slowly. I scoot a little closer to the fire and put my hands out in front of me to feel the heat. Pretty soon I am warmed up completely and pull the blanket all the way off and set it next to me. You are starting to open your blanket a bit as you warm up.
"I love fires." I say as I enjoy the warmth.
"Me too." You say in a soft voice.
"Are you still cold?" I ask.
You nod your head yes so I grab my blanket and scoot over next to you. You sit in front of me between my legs and I wrap my blanket over me back and around you with my arms wrapped around you.
"Does that feel better?" I ask.
You nod your head again and curl up into a tighter ball with me wrapped around you. We sit like that for a while, still not really talking and just watching the fire go. After a while I start sweating.
"Are ou warm?" I ask.
You nod and say "yes."
I unwrap my blanket and get up to cool off a bit. It is getting later in the afternoon and the fire provides our only light aside from random flashes of lightening. The dark skies seem to be getting darker and the thunder seems to be getting louder. I get up and walk over to the front door and look out at the rain. I put my hands on the door frame and lean against it as I watch the rain and think. You stay sitting in front of the fire and turn to see what I am doing. Ou see me staring out at the rain and de ice to join me. You stand up and slowly walk over to me with the blanket still wrapped around you. You walk up behind me and wrap your arms around my torso and lean the side of your head against my back.
