Fifties Housewife

I walked in Timeless Fashions to see if anything new had arrived. Sheila smiled and said, "I have some new things I think you'll love." She waved me to follow her behind the counter and into the back of the store.

Sheila has known me for a few years now. I fumbled into her store trying to buy a dress for Halloween. She was warm and helpful and treated me as just another customer not a man buying a dress. Since that time I have become a regular customer and she holds things she knows I like. That day it was a beautiful Roussel corselet from the early 1950's. It had satin panels in front and back beautiful satin and lace cups and six garters. I had never seen one so beautiful.

Sheila specializes in fashions from the forties and fifties and she has helped me transform my look from tramp to princess. I have gotten rid of all those stripper clothes I fantasized about in school. Now looking in a mirror I see a young housewife in a sheath dress or a swing dress prim and confidently sexy. Darren, my boyfriend, thought it was wonderful when I changed from his boyfriend to June Cleaver housemate and lover.

Sheila seemed to see potential right from the start. I had come in looking for a costume for a party Darren and I were attending. He had suggested we go as Danny and Sandy from Grease. He knew how much I enjoyed dressing up as a woman.

Sheila thought it was a great idea after I told her. She took me under her skirt and taught me why those women of the fifties were so alluring. First she showed me a beautiful yellow print dress. From a broad white collar it tapered down to a waist so small I could not see how I would ever get into it. It had a matching belt, and although it was made of cotton the dress looked like sunshine.

Sheila said, "It is not what is on the outside but the foundation that made dresses like this."She had me make an appointment for the next day after I was free from work.

That night I told Darren about my new dress and how I had found help with my costume. I said, "You better not just show up in a white t-shirt and jeans buddy!" He just laughed.
